Almond Milk
NOT RECOMMENDED
Almond milk is not recommended for dogs. It is high in fat and often contains additives, sweeteners or xylitol.
What to do
Offer water instead. Contact your vet if your dog drank a large amount or a product containing xylitol.
When to contact a vet: Emergency vet attention if the almond milk contained xylitol.

Why
Almond milk is low in nutritional value for dogs and can be high in fat, which may trigger pancreatitis in sensitive dogs. Many commercial almond milks contain added sugar, salt, flavourings or carrageenan. Some sugar-free products contain xylitol, which is extremely toxic to dogs. Water is the only drink dogs need.
